Dan prides himself on not guiding clients to a destination, but teaching them on the way to the destination. Dan is an expert in survival, trained in Wilderness Medicine, a member of the American Mountain Guides Association, a board member for the Professional Hiking Guides Association and a sponsored adventure athlete.

Nole Rodolfo Reyes Oropeza
Lead Mountaineering Guide in Peru
Nole Rodolfo Reyes Oropeza followed in his father’s footsteps in becoming a mountain guide in the Cordillera Blanca of Peru. Rodolfo received his training at the House of Guides, C.E.A.M. in Huaraz, Peru, which is dedicated to the formation of Mountain Guides in Peru. Rodolfo is trained in Mountain Rescue and First-Aid and gained exposure while working on the movie “Touching the Void”. Rodolfo has lead clients to the summits of multiple moutains in Peru and Bolivia, to include Pisco, Chopicalqui, Alpamayo and Huascaran.

Mingo has significant expereince climbing in the Himalaya including 5 summits of Mount Everest,, 2 summits of Cho- Oyu, 2 summits of Shishapangma, 2 summits of Baruntse, 2 summits of Ama Dablam and 1 summit of each Island Peak, Mera Peak. Mingo also has also lead clients to numerous summits of 6,000 meter peaks. Mingo is certified by the Nepal Government and the Nepal Mountaineering Association.

Mingma has also lead numerous clients to the summits of many 6,000 meter peaks. Mingma is certificated by the Nepal Government, and a member of the Nepal Mountaineering Association and the Tibet Mountaineering Association.

Lakcha is a professional guide certificated by the Nepal Governmentand the Nepal Mountaineering Association.

Pamba is knows for his strong climbing skills and his great management skills, which have both served him well and allowed him to be a successful mountain guide and summit the hardest mountains in the world. Pamba has summited Mount Everest 6 times, Cho-Oyu 4 times, Shishapangma 2 times, K-2 1 time, Dhaulagiri 1 time, Makalu 1 time, Annapurna 1 time and many 6,000 meter peaks. Krista Bowman
Rock Climbing and Backpacking Guide
Krista Bowman, a native Canadian, splits time between the United States and her native Canada, teaching rock climbing, guiding and writing gear reviews for Satori. Krista coordinates the rock climbing curriculum and has climbed and backpacked in both North and South America. Krista is certified by the National Professional Guides Association as a Level I Backpacking guide, along with being certified in Wilderness First-Aid.

Dana Jezkova
Lead guide in Iceland
Dana is a native of the Czech Republic, but now calls Iceland her home. Dana is a certified Mountain Guide and is the lead guide for the Iceland expeditions. Dana speaks fluent Czech, English, and Icelandic and has lead clients to the summit of Oraefajokull, the tallest peak in Iceland and guided the Laugavegur Trail many times, which is known as one of the world’s best treks. Dana is an expert in navigation and is the 2011 Iceland Orienteering Champion.

Carmen Hallock
Backpacking Guide
Carmen Hallock is our newest guide, but has proved herself to be not only an excellent guide and instructor, but her determination and willingness to learn is infectious. Carmen is certified as a Level I backpacking guide through the Professional Hiking Guides Association (PHGA) and coordinates the Women’s Backpacking Clinic. Carmen is always smiling and having fun and thrives when the weather and terrain are toughest. When not guiding, Carmen participates in Adventure Races and volunteers with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Carmen has climbed mountains and backpacked in North, South and Central America.
